A lot of people have good intentions to be successful in life. They desire to experience success and happiness, yet it never materializes because they lack proper direction. For most of them, they feel they do not possess the necessary talent and confidence to achieve success, whatever that may be. So they just wander aimlessly through life, “hoping” for good fortune to come their way.
The fundamental reason most people don’t experience success is rooted in negative past experiences. Experiences that hurt, set us back, disappointed us, put questions in our minds about our ability–our future.
Many of our lives are filled with negative experiences. Experiences that have been forgotten, but are still exacting their toll in indecision, in lack of confidence, and in uncertainty. These negative pictures, this stream of negative thinking and therefore action, seldom cause the good things we want to appear in our lives, such as enough money, real love, achievement and recognition. For most, life is like a series of nightmares, and many take desperate means to escape them.
Let me clarify myself now, my fellow Self Help Junkies!!!!
The world is full of live puppets. They are the people who are completely influenced by others, by negative environment, and by what they call “force of circumstances.” They seldom make a move of their own choice. They are all around you, at any time, plodding through life on a leash. They even have themselves believing that somebody should always pull the strings in life. Is this you?
If that’s the case, here is what you must realize: The only person standing in your way to success is you. If you want to increase your skills, build a bigger bank account, expand your career, operate a successful business, then go for it.
Make a vow to take on the challenge of starting your own business, rising to executive level, becoming an outstanding achiever, and growing rich through your efforts. Opportunities are all around you, waiting for you to take advantage of them.
You can’t get what you want, do what you want, and be what you want, by living a puppet-like existence, which is the majority of people. Self-advancement is mental in origin. Proof of that lies in the fact that the construction of your home was mental in origin. Either in your own mind, or the builder’s, or both. Your car and all its modern improvements were mental in origin. The conveniences in your kitchen were mental in origin.
Your power to achieve success, to make money, any amount of money, starts with your mind, the way you think. By taking control of your thought life, and directing it in a positive direction, you began to harness the forces at your command — your thoughts. When your thoughts are wrong, your decisions and actions will be wrong.
But if you take control of your thoughts, you can predict your future, and know it will be as you want it to be.
